AirFryer Genius: Cooking Times ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1.1 Information You Provide

Personal Information: Name (for personalization), collected during app onboarding and optionally via Apple Sign In
Email Address: Collected via Apple Sign In for authentication and account management (you may choose to share your real email or use Apple's private relay email)
Air Fryer Information: Brand, model, wattage, and basket size (to provide accurate cooking recommendations)
Cooking Preferences: Measurement units (metric/imperial), language preference
Recipe Data: Ingredients, cooking times, temperatures, and notes you save
Apple User ID: If you choose to sign in with Apple (optional, used for account sync across devices)

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Usage Analytics: We use Amplitude to collect usage data that may be linked to your account when you sign in, including:
- App screens visited and features used
- Cooking sessions and recipe interactions
- Recipe search queries
- Error logs, crash reports, and app performance metrics
- Session duration and frequency
Device Information: Device type, device identifier (IDFV), operating system version, app version, language settings
Purchase Information: Subscription status through RevenueCat (we do not store payment details)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Provide Personalized Cooking Recommendations: Your air fryer details and preferences help us calculate accurate cooking times and temperatures
Save and Sync Recipes: Store your saved recipes and sync them across your devices (if signed in with Apple)
Improve the App: Analytics help us understand how users interact with the app and identify areas for improvement
Customer Support: Troubleshoot issues and respond to your requests
Subscription Management: Process and manage your subscription through Apple's In-App Purchase system

We do NOT:

Sell your personal data to third parties
Use your data for advertising purposes
Share your recipe data with anyone
Track you across other apps or websites

Important Note: We collect usage analytics to improve the app experience. This is NOT the same as "tracking" for advertising. Your data stays within our app ecosystem and is never used for targeted advertising or sold to data brokers.

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

4. Notifications

AirFryer Genius uses local notifications to enhance your cooking experience:

Cooking Timer Alerts: When you start a cooking timer, the app will send you local notifications to remind you when to flip or shake your food, and when cooking is complete
Local Only: All notifications are processed locally on your device and do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information
Permission Required: You will be asked to grant notification permission when you start a timer for the first time
Optional Feature: Notifications are entirely optional. The timer will work even if you deny notification permissions, but you won't receive alerts
Control: You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings (Settings > Notifications > AirFryer Genius)

5. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: Your recipes and preferences are primarily stored locally on your device using secure storage
Cloud Sync: If you sign in with Apple, your data is synced securely to our backend
Security Measures: We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data in transit
Data Retention: Your data is retained until you delete your account or uninstall the app

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: View all your data stored in the app (Settings > Account)
Modify: Update your name, air fryer details, and preferences at any time
Delete: Delete your account and all associated data (Settings > Account > Delete Account)
Opt-Out of Analytics: You can limit ad tracking in your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking)
Export: Your recipe data is visible in the app; you can manually export by viewing individual recipes

7. Children's Privacy

AirFryer Genius is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We use Amplitude's EU data residency to minimize international transfers. When transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
